I love the whole idea of 'REPURPOSING' items and for 2011 I plan to do a lot of it.  So to start my quest, I went to The Goodwill and found this treasure.

A 1975 Atlas.

I  was so excited and it was only $1 - yay!

My mind was racing with all the fun stuff I could do with the pages.

One of the first ideas I had for the paper was to wrap Christmas presents in it.  And that's just what I did!  I think it turned out so cute and it was a hit with all those who received a gift wrapped in it.  Everyone was facinated by the "State" they got - it was cute.

The ribbon I received for free and I was able to wrap all my presents using only the atlas - so I only spent $1 on gift wrap! - so cool, I love it...

So stayed tuned to see my next 'repurposing' project!  I'm working on it right now and will post it soon.

  1. Very cute idea, and so thrifty! You and I will be thrift sisters this year. Love to see some fashion finds too!

  2. Yaaaay! :D I'm so glad you linked up!! I love these- they turned out just adorable.

  3. i love this! i hate buying wrapping paper because it is so wasteful (even though there are some really cute papers out there). i'll definitely be doing this!!

I LOVE getting feedback on my posts...please leave me a note. Thank you!
